Optional Windscreen Cover

If you choose to avail of our optional windscreen cover when purchasing your policy, we will pay the cost of repairing or replacing damaged or broken glass in the windscreen or windows of the vehicle, as long as there has not been any other loss or damage. Claims under this section will not affect your no-claims bonus.

The most we will pay in any one period of insurance is €500 (for policies in the Republic of Ireland) or £350 (for policies in the UK and Northern Ireland).

Exceptions

We will not pay for:

1. any amount over €150 /£100 if the repair or replacement is not carried out by our approved windscreen specialists, who you can contact on 1890 5 12345 (Republic of Ireland) or 0800 051 6708 (UK and Northern Ireland).
2. any more than two claims under this section during the period of insurance;
3. damaged or broken glass in sunroofs;
4. damaged or broken glass to vehicles that are temporarily covered; or
5. damage caused by wear and tear or negligence.

In the UK and Northern Ireland a windscreen excess applies. (This will be noted in your policy schedule). This excess will not apply if the glass is repaired and not replaced.
